The College Football Hall of Fame and Kids & Pros teamed up for a special Youth Football Experience, across from the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick fil-A Fan Experience in Centennial Olympic Park last Saturday.

Children from across metro Atlanta had the opportunity to participate in the football fun with former NFL players and collegiate stand outs, as the city was celebrating a new chapter in sports history in downtown Atlanta! The College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience and Kids & Pros hosted a youth football experience, with interactive stations and drills — from passing, to catching and “Heads Up” tackling, in a fun environment to teach more about the sport. Thank you to special support from the Atlanta Falcons to make the day a great success. This special football experience was free to participants, and open to kids ages 6 – 15. In addition to the youth football experience, there were ongoing College Football Hall of Fame Festivies going on in the park, including interactive games, inflatables, giveaways, contests, booths and more– and hundreds of people took advantage of the opportunity to come down and participate.

Former NFL Players that appeared included:
Bobby Butler (Florida State University/Atlanta Falcons), Buddy Curry (University of North Carolina/Atlanta Falcons), Ken Oxendine (Virginia Tech / Atlanta Falcons), and Michael Harris (Shaw University/ Dallas Cowboys). In addition to the NFL Players, members of the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders came out to cheer the kids on, as well as Freddie the Falcon himself!

About Atlanta Hall Management & The College Football Hall of Fame
The new College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience opened August 23, 2014, and is a 94,256-square-foot attraction located in the heart of Atlanta’s sports, entertainment and tourism district. Adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park, the new Hall provides visitors with a highly immersive, interactive and engaging experience using a blend of historic college football artifacts and state-of-the-art, interactive multimedia exhibits. The National Football Foundation (NFF) launched the Hall in 1951 to stand as one of the nation’s premier sports shrines, immortalizing the game’s greatest players and coaches as positive role models for future generations. In 2009, Atlanta Hall Management, Inc., partnered with the NFF to construct and operate the new Hall of Fame attraction, which also provides a platform for community outreach, education and character development initiatives, as well as serve as one of Atlanta’s premier special event spaces.
