KnP_pebblebrookpif&clinic_131121_3imgFormer Atlanta Falcons Buddy Curry and Bobby Butler, and their Kids & Pros Coaches Team held a FREE football clinic and parent information session, Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Pebblebrook High School in Cobb County. Over 100 people, parents and children, attended the events, underwritten by Aaron’s.

The Kids & Pros Clinic, led by Butler and Curry, focused on safe, non-contact football instruction and incorporated tackling techniques from USA Football’s “Heads Up Football” program, along with character-based lessons. Camp instructors included retired NFL players who provide hands-on teaching of skill fundamentals, as well as position-specific training. The list of NFL instructors supporting the clinic Saturday included Bobby Butler (Atlanta Falcons Cornerback 1981-1992), Buddy Curry (Atlanta Falcons Linebacker 1980-1987), Anthony Sessions (Washington Redskins, Linebacker 2001), Robert Moore (Atlanta Falcons Safety 1986-1989), Floyd Hodge (Atlanta Falcons Wide Receiver 1982-1984) and Mark Motley (Giants Offensive Lineman).

In addition to the clinic, Kids & Pros hosted a concurrent parent information session, in partnership with the Atlanta Falcons, to cover a variety of topics for interested parents, made possible through a generous gift from Aaron’s. Buddy Curry, a USA Football Master Trainer, led the session, which featured several guest speakers, covering topics from Heads Up training, to concussion awareness, proper helmet and shoulder pad fitting, identifying steroid use, as well as other issues.

At the end of the clinic, Aaron’s raffled two 32″ televisions and a set of GT basketball tickets to three lucky winners at the event.

Kids & Pros would also like to thank Aaron’s and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation for their support and participation in Saturday’s event.
